[English]

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of three post match recovery methods, active recovery, cold water immersion and contrast bath in young professional soccer players. 25 young soccer players of Sepahan FC Club participated in this study. In order to investigate the perception of fatigue perceived muscle soreness were measured. Vertical jump, Hoff and dribbling speed test were used to measure the functional performance of players, before and after each soccer match. The results indicated significant effect of contrast bath was opposed to the other two methods (p=0.001). Speed dribbling significantly increased (p=0.001) and the perceived soreness after using the contrast bath significantly decreased (p=0.001). It can be recommended to athlete to accelerate post match recovery using contrast bathing methods with 3 minutes warm water, 35-38 ˚ C temperature and 1 minutes cold water with 12-14 ˚ C, 3 repetitions alternatively.
